The RAPA (Rheumatoid Arthritis Patient Application) software for mobile telephones enables you to record day by day the signs and symptoms caused by rheumatoid arthritis (RA, peripheral polyarthritis). Using this program, you can show your doctor a summary of these data, presented as graphs and diagrams.

On the Questions page, you can record the following information for the given day:
- The intensity of joint pain;
- The severity of joint swelling;
- The locations of joint swelling (on a body scheme);
- Absence from work because of RA;
- The occurrence of febrile disease (which requires more attention with certain treatments, as well as pyrexia and low-grade fever are possible signs of active inflammation in RA);
- Your compliance with the instructions by your doctor on the use of medicinal products prescribed as treatments of RA.
On the Records page, you will see the following:
- My symptoms timeline: the severity of pain and swelling day by day, along with the presence/lack of fever, or absence from work;
- Distribution of joint swelling: on this schematic drawing, you can review the colour-coded locations of your joints affected, or spared by swelling;
- Previous data: the tabulated display of the data you have entered.
- Diagrams: your status during the last 3 months as reflected by the following charts: the percentage of febrile days and of the days of absence from work; the severity of joint symptoms (pain, swelling); and usage of the medicinal products prescribed by your doctor as treatments for RA.

You can print every page as a screenshot and take along the printouts to your next follow-up visit, or you can demonstrate all the information to your doctor right from the screen of your smart phone.
